I’m an accountant by day, certified group fitness instructor/healthy living enthusiast by night. I believe in loving your body no matter the size, and appreciating all it does for you. I love movement that feels good, food that tastes good, and listening to your body. It will tell you what it needs!

I began teaching group fitness in 2011. I am a step aerobics instructor. Before we continue, kindly remove from your mind the images you have of spandex and leotards and 90s music, today’s step is different! It is heavy on the dance-like choreography and athleticism. What I love most about step aerobics is that the possibilities are endless; you can use anywhere from 1 to 4 (or more) benches, and the choreography can be anything you can imagine.

While I have come to love my body as it is, sadly that was not always the case. I, like many girls my age, went through phases of disordered eating and exercise as punishment.


I spent entirely too much time counting calories and hating my body. I started reading food blogs about 9 years ago (!!!) and I’m so glad I did. A few encouraged me to journey into intuitive eating and I haven’t looked back. Life is too short to spend hating your body. I am able to run, walk, dance, step, stretch, and it is nothing short of amazing. I encourage you to show your body the love it deserves.

I married my husband James on June 7, 2014 and we live in the DFW TX area with our 3 dogs Archie, Dutch, and Lucy.
